Looking for pickleball paddles in Brampton?
Pickleball is booming across the GTA — and the first question every new player asks is where to buy a paddle that won't disappoint. Here's what to look for, and where to find it close to home.
What makes a good pickleball paddle
Face material: Raw carbon fiber faces give you the best spin and control, and they're what most serious players are switching to. Fiberglass faces are cheaper and livelier, but harder to control.
Thickness: 16mm cores are the sweet spot for most players — softer feel, bigger sweet spot, more control. Thinner 13mm paddles are faster but less forgiving.
Weight: Midweight paddles (around 7.5–8.2 oz) suit most players, from beginners to club regulars.
Buy a set, not just a paddle
If you're starting out, a set is the smart buy — paddles plus balls in one box, ready to play. At FIPCO you'll find the FIPCO pickleball set (raw carbon fiber face, 4 balls and a fancy bag included) for $60 CAD, and the SLK Atlas Max set of 2 (raw carbon fiber face) on sale at $90 CAD per set.
